EAFA Gallery hosts Art Demonstration this Saturday

Evergreen Association of Fine Arts (EAFA) will host a free demonstration of pastel techniques this Saturday, December 3 from 12-4 p.m. at its new gallery at the Alley in Totem Square , 11901 - 124th Avenue N. E.  Local artist, Joan Wittler, will offer tips and instruction on working with pastels and will do a real-time pastel work with a Christmas theme.

The public is invited, and can also take in the new art show at the EAFA Gallery, as well as visit the other fine art and wine venues at the Alley.

Central Park Tennis Club Named Facility of the Year

Central Park Tennis Club is proud to announce they are the recipients of the United States Tennis Association Pacific Northwest “2016 Facility of the Year” award.

Howard/Mandville Gallery, Kirkland, WA. will be hosting the American Impressionist Society 17th Annual National Juried Exhibition September 29 - October 30, 2016

The 17th Annual American Impressionist Society National Juried Exhibition will be held September 29th through October 30th, 2016, at Howard Mandville Gallery, 120 Park Lane, Ste #D, in Kirkland, Washington. This year over $60,000 in cash and merchandise awards will be pre-sented, including $12,000 cash award for Best of Show. 

The 2016 exhibition will feature 140 juried paintings which represent some of the best works of American Impressionism being produced today. An additional 20 paintings by AIS Masters, Officers and Founders will also be included in the exhibition. 

The opening reception will be held on Thursday, September 29th, from 5 to 8pm at Howard/ Mandville Gallery. The 2016 Judge of Awards will be AIS Master artist Calvin Liang. Mr. Li- ang will also be giving a painting demonstration on Friday, September 30th from 6-8pm.

The Puget Sound Business Journal is reporting that Seattle retailer Nordstrom is planning a 35,000 square-foot store in the Village at Totem Lake. The mixed-use development includes a cinema, apartments and retail including  Whole Foods.
