The Kirkland Alliance of Neighborhoods and the City of Kirkland invite Kirkland residents and business owners to save the date for a Neighborhood Forum led by acclaimed community engagement expert Peter Kageyama, author of For the Love of Cities and Love Where You Live. The event, called “For the Love of Kirkland,” will be held Monday, January 23, 2017 from 5:30 to 8:45 pm. Information about how to RSVP will be coming soon.
Anyone who is interested in exploring ways to make Kirkland an even better place to live and work will be invited to attend. The goals of the event are to celebrate Kirkland’s neighborhoods and inspire people to become more involved in their neighborhood associations.
"For the Love of Cities" workshops have received rave reviews all over the world. Kageyama says, “Every place has people who love it. Find them. Bring them together. Ask them for their help. Find what is lovable about your city and make it better. Find ways to engage the human heart, which I believe will prove the most powerful tool ever unleashed in the development of our communities.”
