The Puget Sound Business Journal is reporting the closure of the long-time Kirkland restaurant.
After 15 years in Kirkland, the Fish Café will close. Pay a visit, say goodbye and soak up to view while you can.
The Third Floor Fish Cafe restaurant at 205 Lake Street South in Kirkland will shut down next month after 15 years in operation.
Restaurant owners cited the slow economy and a shift in business to new Bellevue restaurants for their reason to close the doors after Dec. 19.
“This is definitely sad for us, but we have to make some major upgrades. We hope these next weeks are a nightly celebration,” said Greg Campbell, executive chef, in a statement.
Owners said they plan to remodel the space but haven’t decided yet upon a final use. A private event location that could accommodate 200 people is under consideration.
