While in downtown Kirkland and in the market for great art, be sure to stop by The Art Shop at 108 Central, opening Friday, December 11, for ten days only!
The Art Shop is run by six local artists: Rebecca DeVere: (recently named Best Local Artist in Area Code 425, by 425 Magazine) mosaics and painting; Jamie Johnson: painting (a former Kirkland resident with a big fan club, Jamie is making all new work and coming from Salt Lake City to be part of The Art Shop); Justin Fisher: paintings and woodworks; Liz Gamberg: rugs, ceramics, and jewelry; Pilar Loizaga: pottery; and Sue Zell: pillows, tuffets, and chairs.
The Art Shop will bring in more fabulous artists for trunk shows throughout its ten days. The shop will feature an "Art Star" of the day and host open brown bag lunches with said star. So enjoy your lunch by the warm cozy fire and learn about a different artist each day. (Visit www.rebeccadevere.com under "events" for updates.)
