Kirkland Congregational Church Concert To Benefit Hopelink

A benefit concert for Hopelink featuring student musicians from Lake Washington Senior High and Peter Kirk Elementary will be held at the Kirkland Congregational Church on December 4th at 3:00PM. The event is free and donations for the Hopelink Kirkland food bank are encouraged. The concert in the first in a series of three community concerts sponsored by Kirkland Congregational Church. This concert will feature student musicians from Lake Washington Senior High and Peter Kirk Elementary.

The award winning, select vocal ensemble, Lyrica, under the direction of Jim Peterson, will perform a varied genre of selections spanning the musical eras.

Lake Washington High School Band director, John Logan, will introduce the newly formed Jazz Ensemble which will provide a musical light side to the afternoon. The jazz ensemble will highlight improvisational techniques and share a range of jazz styles.

The Peter Kirk Elementary Chorus, under the leadership of Katie Peterson, will delight the crowd with their enthusiastic singing. The volunteer chorus meets weekly after school and rehearses diligently to express the finest sound in young voices.

The event is free to the public but donations to the Hopelink Kirkland Food Bank are encouraged. Donation tubs for non perishable food items will be located at the site.
