Kirkland Woman's Club seeks Landmark status at Public Hearing March 24


The Kirkland Woman's Club, located across the street from City Hall, has a long history dating back to the mid-1920's. Today, the clubhouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and as a King County Landmark and the structure is nominated for City of Kirkland Landmark status. The King County Landmarks Commission, acting on behalf of the City of Kirkland, is holding a public hearing at the clubhouse on Thursday, March 24, 2011, 7:00 p.m. to consider the nomination. The Kirkland Heritage Society is co-hosting this event.

The general public is encouraged to attend and also invited to provide testimony of knowledge or memories of the Woman’s Club building.
