The following event is presented by the City of Kirkland:
Start an annual tradition by attending Kirkland’s first ever Li’l Crumpets Mother’s Day Tea Party. Children ages 3 to 8 and who are accompanied by their mother, grandmother, aunt, or other motherly favorites will treasure the memory of this special afternoon. Enjoy high tea and nibble on trays of goodies, many provided by local bakeries and stores. Hear about the history and proper way to enjoy your tea (or lemonade) from tea connoisseur Miss Mavis, make and decorate a spring-time bonnet, and enjoy stories shared by actor and instructor Sharlet Bonnell. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, May 7th from 2 to 4 pm at the North Kirkland Community Center, 12421 103rd Ave NE. Tickets are $25 per child for residents and $30 per child for non-residents, $10 per 2nd child for residents and $12 per second child for non-residents (no charge for adult). There are a limited number of spaces available. Registration is encouraged as this is an anticipated sell-out event.
