[scrollGallery id=191] On this Memorial Day weekend, The Cow and The Coyote statue on Central Way honors our veterans who have served our country. Local patriots, Bonnie Fletcher (accompanied by her dog Largent), Terri Fletcher, Sue Contreras and Sants Contreras were spotted decorating the statue in red, white and blue and included the message, "Thanks Vets". We thank these community leaders for participating in this tradition and for the laughs and good humor they have in the process. Thank you!
The decorating of the Cow and The Coyote for various holidays is a local tradition which continues here in Kirkland throughout the year.
Quirky? Yes. Does it show pride in our community? Absolutely. We say, well done!
The Cow and The Coyote is Kirkland’s version, albeit smaller and less well-known, of the Fremont Waiting for the Interurban.
