Kirkland’s Cultural Arts Commission Extends Application Deadline; Adds Youth Application

The City of Kirkland has extended the recruitment date for adult volunteer applicants to fill four vacancies on the Cultural Arts Commission, formerly the Kirkland Cultural Council.  Also, a youth position has been added. The four adult positions are for unexpired terms ending March 31, 2013.  Positions to be filled include “artist” (Position 6), “public art,” (Position 7) and “interested in art” (Positions 9 and 12). Appointments will be made by the Cultural Arts Commission. The youth position is for an unexpired term ending March 31, 2013 and will be appointed by the Kirkland City Council.  Interested citizens are invited to apply. Completed applications must be received by the City Clerk prior to 4 p.m. on Thursday, September 27, 2012.
